When to take vitamins and minerals: morning, daytime or evening
Morning or evening? Almost everyone asks when to take food supplements. The answer starts with the label and your own routine. We show how to spread products across the day and what to keep in mind when you take several.

What matters more, the time or regularity?
A food supplement label states the recommended daily dose, for example 1 capsule daily. It usually does not give a specific time. For your routine, the most important thing is to stick to the dose and take the product regularly.
If you link your supplements to something you do every day, such as breakfast or brushing your teeth in the evening, you are less likely to forget them. If the label states when or how to take the product, follow it. What the label says takes precedence over general advice.
How can you remember your supplements?
Regularity is easiest when a supplement has a fixed place and a fixed moment. It helps to keep the jar where you will see it, but out of the reach of children and away from direct sunlight, as the label says. If you take several products, split them by time of day and stick to that plan.
It also helps to know how many days a pack will last. Elements. and Iron. each have 60 capsules at one a day, so they last 60 days. Vitamin C and D3 + K2 last 30 days. For long-term use, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.

And during the day?
The Active day ritual is for full-on days, at work, when travelling or when you are on the move. It includes Iron., with iron and folate, and Vitamin C. Iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Vitamin C appears in both Daily basics and Active day, but it is the same product. If you take it in the morning, do not take it again during the day beyond the recommended daily dose.
And in the evening?
The evening is time for yourself at the end of the day. The Evening routine ritual includes Calcium + D3 + K2 and Skin. Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin. Here too, the evening is a tip for your routine, not a requirement.
| Time of day | Products | Dose according to the label |
|---|---|---|
| Morning: Daily basics | Elements., Vitamin C, D3 + K2 | 1 capsule, 2 capsules, 1 capsule daily |
| During the day: Active day | Iron., Vitamin C | 1 capsule, 2 capsules daily |
| Evening: Evening routine | Calcium + D3 + K2, Skin. | 2 capsules, 1 capsule daily |
Vitamin C in Daily basics and in Active day is the same product. Take it only at the recommended daily dose.
How do you combine several products?
Combining several food supplements is not equally suitable for everyone. Check for overlapping nutrients, the warnings on each label and the recommended daily dose of each product. Vitamin D is in D3 + K2, in Calcium + D3 + K2 and in the multivitamin, and vitamin C is in the Vitamin C product, in Skin. and in the multivitamin. Add up how much of each nutrient you get from all products together.
For many vitamins and minerals, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has set a tolerable upper intake level. If you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a health condition or plan to combine several products over a long period, talk to a doctor or pharmacist first. On the Rituals page, we let you know when the same nutrient is in two products.
When should you talk to a doctor or pharmacist?
The label of each product states who the product is not intended for. Most Naturlabs products carry a warning that they are not intended for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women unless advised by a doctor. Also talk to a doctor or pharmacist if you take medication, have a health condition or plan to take several supplements over a long period. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle.
How do you build a ritual?
On the Rituals page, you choose a time of day, add products and put the whole ritual in your cart in one go. For each product you can see the daily dose and the ingredients, so you can easily check for overlapping nutrients before you buy.
